It's the golden age of ballet.

It was the result of the collaboration of protegés of the king: the playwright Molière, the composer J.B:Lully and the choreographer P.Beauchamp.

Chaconne: Spanish sung dance, calm, ternary rhythm.
Sarabande: Spanish solemn dance, slow, ternary rhythm.
Gigue: English fast dance in 6/8 time.
